Baby Kicking

I had a very strange sensation Sunday evening. Bill and I were lounging around watching TV and it felt like the baby kicked me in the hoohah. Now, I paid close attention in science and in health class when I was younger and I know that the cervix closes up and the baby doesn't hang out in my vagina but it totally felt like I was getting kicked down there. And it didn't stop. He was kicking so hard and about every 15 seconds. He even kicked so hard at one point that a few drops of pee came out! Talk about embarrassing! Bill and I just cracked up because it was so strange.

It happened a couple of times yesterday while I was working (the kicking not the peeing) so I decided I should probably bring it up at my appointment today. The midwife, Jane, told me it was possible that the baby was breach and kicking my cervix or he could be facing the right way could have been punching my cervix. She decided it would be nice to know and pulled out the little ultrasound machine! Yay for seeing the baby again! It turns out the baby is transverse. His head is up high on the left and his feet are down low on the left. She said he could have been completely breach Sunday and yesterday and turned since then or he could have been transverse and just really kicking around. Either way, it's totally fine and nothing to worry about. She said there is plenty of time for the baby to flip around.

I also got my bottle of glucola and scheduled my glucose tolerance test for 3 weeks for today. Fingers crossed for no Gestational Diabetes.

  1. My Migraines that were once gone came back b/c of my glucose test yesterday. YUCK!

The syrup wasn't so bad but my body was in complete shock from all the sugar and I felt like I would get sick 5 times at a minimum yesterday.
